The magnetic drill bit caddy

This is a drill bit holder that you can stick to a tool box, garage wall, side of a car or any metal object!
Behold the magnetic drill bit caddy.
This product was designed and made as part of my "1 day product" project. The basic idea is to get a product from sketch to sale in one day. I needed a drill bit holder so I stared there.

Thinking of how I use drill bits I discovered I always leave the holder open so the bits are easier to access. The one I had was difficult to open and close and would tip when open. Then I had the idea if I could stick it to a wall or object near where I was working that would be convenient. Since there are many metal objects / walls in my work shop the idea was born, the magnetic drill bit caddy.

Features
-It has rare earth magnets in the back and bottom to allow it to stick to metal surfaces.
-The bits angle out towards the user to facilitate easy removal and replacement. (ergonomics YAY)
-Large numbers that are easy to see. They denote whole sizes 1mm to 10mm there is a dash between them which denotes half sizes 1.5 to 9.5

The product was manufactured on my 3D printer in ABS plastic then hand finished and painted in matte black with gold lettering.

Buy the Magnetic drill bit caddy for $9.99 USD

#NOTES:
1. The printer has a natural grain like finish, somewhat like wood grain. This is its character.
2. It does not come with the drill bits but I could add them for 20USD quality pieces.
3. This version is in metric, it easy to change the CAD so if you want it in empirical I could make one special for you.
4. The photo depics version one, it was printed on a fast 0.3mm setting to see if there was any problems, the drill bit holes where too tight (if you notice there is no drill bit in the 1mm hole, because I moved them all over .5mm so they would fit so I could take the photos) and some txt did not come out solid. The product you are buying is version two with these issues resolved and the part printed at the highest 0.2mm setting. The print takes 11hours. Post processing and painting is at least an hours work.

The process has also been documented on my blog intheworlddesign
